Everytime I now come into Blogspot, the posting protocols have changed. They just shouldn't be doing this to old brains, ya know? Takes me a minute to figure out how to edit the photos.
First flower is the only full size Hibiscus that bloomed this year. When we needed rain we didn't get it, so the plants are on their last little leg. The petunias this year are gorgeous because they are in pots that have been watered. I was in the mood to doodle, and I've done this before. Paint some random shapes on the page, wait for the paint to completely dry, and then just go for it. Kind of like mediation. I found that tag sitting on the desk, and decided to use it.
Purchased a year long class for 2021 (see? I have hope we will all be here!) called Wanderlust. They sent us a link of 10 kickstarts in art journaling. Some pretty decent video and ideas. The double page collage was done all with tissue papers. Then a wash of white acrylic, then a wash of a pumpkin color, and now I'm letting it sit until something hits me. Think I will rewatch the video.
While I was in the hospital my regular pet sitter had the dogs. The day I came home, Gracie scratched a bald spot to the point of bleeding on the side of her face. Sherry felt so bad, and of course it wasn't her fault. We decided it was a bug bite, and tried Benedryl, and hydrocortisone cream to get Grace to stop. She ended up in a cone of shame because she wouldn't leave it alone. So the first week they were home with me, she wore the cone. I finally decided to take it off one day, and she was fine. But that spot stayed bald for weeks. Sunday I noticed that the fur had finally grown back, but it is now pure white. So Gracie has her very own beauty mark. She thinks it makes her really stand out in a crowd. I'm still getting used to it. Never saw this before in any dogs we had.
Have a wonderful, peaceful day. Vote. Linda
