I am all over the place in this art journal. I think it depends on what I have read in the news, because each day is more horrific than the day before. To stay calm, and I am amazed at how calm I have been, I make layered backgrounds, or draw, or go through the piles of collage fodder I have. Thus we get this mish mash of art journaling.
The image of the woman walking on a treadmill with high heels, dress clothes and a purse intrigued me. And then my brain said she is walking to go vote....
The girl and bird was based on a drawing from Gulfsprite. I used Daniel Smith watercolors on this, and then stenciled over the watercolor background with acrylic paint.
The dogs have realized that we are somewhat back to normal, and if they look pathetic enough, and whine just right, mom will cave and take them to the dog park. Both are showing their age; we walk around for 45 minutes, and I have to stop and wait for them to catch up. Seriously?
