The autumn color is not spectacular this year, or at least in Indiana. We did see a few brilliant trees in town, but overall it was just pretty. Some yellows, slightly red and gold. I enjoyed it anyway. Always good to get away. Had I been able to load that red wagon, mums, and very large wooden pumpkins in the back of the Escape, the entire arrangement would have been transplanted to Avon.

Sigh.

Took a few days and drove down to Madison, IN. on the Ohio river. It was fun. Mostly it rained, although we did have some decent weather on Tuesday. Did more hiking than I thought I could, but balanced that out by overeating. Back to Weight Watchers, as of right now!

When I was packing to leave Sunday night, I seriously considered taking an art journal and the small KOI water color set. I did not, and now glad I left it at home. Like everything else, it recharges your batteries to step away for just a bit. This trip did that. It also made Pat and I realize how old we really are....just saying.

I want to go to the Oregon coast.



I want to wander in that wilderness, looking out over the vast ocean, feeling the spray on my face.



These photos make me happy. They make me realize that I still have the desire to explore, even though walking is a problem.
