The above all started because Cathy found someone on Instagram who painted cute little figures with Distress Ink. So she sent me a screen shot and asked how? I told her to swipe the Distress ink pad over the Ranger craft sheet, or deli paper, or waxed paper, wet a brush and turn the ink into a watercolor. The more water you add, the color will be lighter in tone. After I drew the girl, based on a coloring book for adults, I decided I wanted a yellow not gold hue for her hair. This is Fossilized Amber from the Distress Oxide inks. The shading in the hair and face is Daniel Smith Moonglow. I use that on everything. Some of the greens in the foliage are also Oxide inks.
Gulfsprite sent me the Vogue piece, and the package of black tea. I downloaded the butterfly from Graphics Fairy, free. There are random pieces of washi tape here and there.
This is what happens when it is too cold and/or wet to take the dogs anywhere on a very long weekend. I art journal. The dogs are not happy campers at this point. It's still raining, and I think I may need a boat. Sigh.
