I think they are done

The above canvases are my Project One from the Jodi Ohl online class, Absolutely Abstracts. I think they are done, but going to just let them sit for a few more days while I work on other paintings and hopefully get back to art journaling. If you look closely, there is a lot of texture in all 3 of these. We used modeling paste first, then a coat of gesso before starting the paintings. The thinner black lines are from a Fine Liner loaded with Golden fluid black paint and air brush medium. The circles in the second canvas were etched into the wet modeling paste, then I rubbed black paint into them to emphasize the shapes.

Jodi asked us to use this limited palette of colors: Yellow Ochre, Nickel Azo Gold, Black, White, Buff, Payne's Grey, and Teal as an accent. This is the same palette I have used in the past with a Donna Downey class, 10 in 10 days. I love these colors, but yeah, ready to move on. These are on 8x8 Gallery side canvas, and the deep sides will eventually be painted with a charcoal grey.

Thanks for stopping by.
Linda
