Brand New Journal

Back in January I had started the square Dylusions journal, and loved that size. When I tried to order another one, they were out of stock. Because if you are just starting working with something that might last you months, you MUST have a spare on hand. It's kind of a rule for art/craft supply hoarders. So I ordered the other small style offered, which is called the Small Flip journal, and is 5.5x8.5 inches. This is the one I pulled out yesterday. I haven't decided what to do with the outside covers yet, but I did apply black gesso to the inside chipboard cover. The leaf design is the new Dina Wakley stencil. The sticker phrase is from an Art by Marlene sticker book.

I did some gel plate printing a few weeks ago, and the opposite side of the cover is one of those, with a little added paint so it all flowed together. The girl's hair is acrylic paint, rest of it is gouache and Arteza ink pens. I am loving this size to work in. Kind of a pain to photograph, but that's okay. I feel a Joggles order in my future.....

There are 6 pots with annuals sitting on the corners of my deck in the backyard. One of the larger I stuck some coleus for contrast. It has taken over the backyard. Isn't that gorgeous? Next year I am going to put a bunch out front in the flower beds. Enjoy yourselves. Don't listen to trump. He wants us afraid. Linda
