Making Messes

This book has 5 signatures sewn into the binding

I used old gel plate prints, scrapbook paper, text pages and magazine pages

Dylusions journal, 8x8

I find this particular process very soothing

Not sure if I like the odd shapes just plain

Gracie after a major howling session

That wasn't howling, Mom, it was singing

You told us to stop, Mom. Why?
Anyone else scaring the living shit out of themselves, when you think you have a fever? Yeah. I am not a hypochondriac. Not at all. I have enough real stuff wrong with me that I don't need to make up diseases or any illnesses. But we hit 79 degrees yesterday, everything is in bloom, and I was sneezing all day long. By 6pm, I felt feverish. You know what went thru my mind? Who is going to take care of my dogs. Not that I might die, or be incapacitated for weeks or months, who was going to take care of my babies.

There is no normalcy at this time. We can't count on anything. Although there are rays of sunshine and hope from corporations:

Just got an email from Kroger's. They will limit the number of people in their stores, are supplying masks to all of their employees, and erecting plastic protection at the check outs for the cashiers and baggers. You go, Kroger's!!!

Yesterday brought an email from All State Insurance. My auto rate will be reduced by 15% for April and May because no one is driving as much as normal.

When I was out with the dogs on Monday, a complete stranger asked me how I was doing. And he was seriously looking for an answer. He was also 12 feet away. People have become more caring, kinder, if they are in person. Sitting at a keyboard or on their phone in the Town Chatter groups on Facebook is quite another story. Suck it up, buttercups. This is our new way of life. The world has bigger problems than you can't drive thru a Starbucks for your double latte extra whipped whatever the hell it is you drink every morning.

As The World Turns......been making collage papers. I have watched so many videos, I am not sure if what I did was a mix of Roben Marie Smith and Laura Horn, or me just playing with supplies. Anyway, I have a stack of new papers. Going to make some tea dyed fabric and papers later today, and cut down some heavy watercolor or mixed media paper into 8x8 squares to experiment with layouts. Enjoy yourselves today.
Linda
