MOM!!!!!!!! |
Dogs are sensitive to our needs, wants, and moods. I have been a dog owner for many, many years, and these are hard facts. So even though outwardly I am not appearing upset, I do believe that my two dogs know that things are not right, that the universe has gone a little wonky.
I was sitting on the couch, and Jake laid down to my right at my feet for a belly rub. I obliged by leaning over and rubbing gently. Gracie came to my left and sat down with her back to her brother. So with my left hand I was giving her a back rub. She backed up, so her butt was against the top of Jake's head. He lifted his head, and moved his entire body an inch to the right. Gracie, not to be outdone here, moved backwards again until she could feel this upper body against her butt. At this point I am laughing. A lot. Jake once again lifted his head and moved again. Before my girl could try this a third time, I reprimanded her. She wasn't impressed.
Christy Sobolewski - Gulfsprite- has been posting short, informative videos on YouTube with the tags of Coronavirus relief. The video for the above spread is
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhLalZSapKU. A great instruction on how to create a basic whimsical face with a pencil drawing and acrylic paint. Lots of practical tips. If you are bored, or upset, or unsettled, whatever, grab a drink and boot up YouTube. Tons upon tons of free videos.
We will survive. Yes, we will.
