Once again, I am all over the place. We got into a discussion of junk journals and glue books on the Discord group for Gulfsprites. This made me (compelled me, yes, voices in my head, yes) pull out the altered book I did last year inspired by SewCrazi. I still like that book. Like what I did, and then remembered how relaxing it was to cut and glue. So Sunday night I sat and counted pages and cut out chunks in an old book I had. Saved everything I cut out because there were some pretty good quotes to use, like the one directly above about spelling. It was a book edited by Art Linkletter and what kids do to the English language.

This time around I am using deli paper that was printed with a gel plate, and misc. quotes. Whatever catches my eye. When I get bored with this, I draw or paint. This is how we roll in an election year. ANYTHING to not think about the destruction of our society and country. For only for 30 minutes.

EDIT: went to check the blog and realized I had not explained that photo. I had my one year check up with the surgeon who replaced my hip. They had to XRay the hip to make sure all was well, and give you these lovely one-size-fits-a-herd paper shorts. I had to walk across the hall for the XRay, so kept on the socks and shoes. It is a look. Isn't it? Say yes.
