Collage makes me happy

Scrapbook paper, paint, magazine images, and markers

This was a clean off page for extra paint

I was on the phone so she pulled out no less than 4 toys and laid down on them

Your point is what, Mom?
I love collage, but the past few months it has become a means of expression. I was never one for using magazine images until I took the 30 Days class from Gulfsprite. Now I sit and fussy cut out stuff while watching tv at night.

Okay, let's talk about the Arteza water soluble markers that are filled with an ink. I think it's dye based, but not sure. In the above, I have used the grey, red, and lighter green on the left edge of the octagons. I moved the ink with a wet acrylic brush to get the fading effect. I also did the grey around some of the magazine cut outs, although in the photo it isn't evident. You be the judge.

In the Little Monsters drawings, the base is acrylic paint, and graphite drawing, then Arteza markers. I do like that fading effect on the red top, and the right face. Would I make a major investment and buy the entire set? No. I think the Tombow markers are a better investment. The pigment in the Tombows is stronger. Side note here: The Arteza set was 12 markers and a separate refillable water brush pen. That's great, if you can figure out how to open that water pen to fill it. I can't. Going to have to go to the website and see if there is a video. Now. This is either a ploy to get you back to the website, or it's just poor construction. Either way, I will not order again from this company. But that's me.

Enjoy yourselves.
Linda
