In 1958, a woman could not obtain credit. |
I saw the 2 women walking in a fashion magazine, and just liked the energy. Added my own girl. Made that washi tape as well. I've been busy.
Found the image of a woman and a 1958 Oldsmobile at Cathy's dad's house. We have been cleaning that house out all week to sell it. My brother had a car just like this, so I snapped up the old magazine, then read on Facebook about the GOP candidate that wants to put ankle monitors on pregnant women's ankles. My head kind of exploded on that one. Once I calmed down, I decided that a lot of today's women have no freaking idea how far we have come. In 1958, a woman couldn't get credit on her own. The husband had to add her. The equality in credit act (not sure of the real name) was passed in 1974. And this one also has my homemade washi tape. Thanks to Gulfsprite for the inspiration on the tapes.
I set a goal to finish the 2 Canson Mixed Media journals by October 31st. I will be done with one by the weekend, but will have to hustle to finish the 2nd one. I see gel printing in my future.....
