First up, a collage in the large Dylusions journal based on a very old Pinterest photo from Donna Downey. Donna used to do Collage Mondays and Inspiration Wednesdays on her blog. I used tissue papers, scrapbook patterned papers, and stamping with a few ink pen doodles. Note to Klara, can you find your Hungarian journal papers? I don't use the originals in collage. Copies from the home printer work just dandy.
I am having way too much fun with the washi tape flowers, so did another spread. This time around added a quote. I was going to leave the letters as I drew them, but decided the words didn't stand out so filled them in with a Tombow marker. Love this quote, especially in today's chaos. Sometimes you need to set a small goal and achieve it just to prove to yourself you can.
And finally, my neighbor, Roni, came over late yesterday afternoon to get the leaves up. They were ankle deep in the backyard, and I am not allowed to rake until next spring. That is one motion that will hurt the still healing chest. Roni's goal was to rake into 3 big piles, then use her hand held mulcher with a bag attachment to suck up the leaves. We would then empty her bag into big black leaf bags. Jake, bless his heart, looks forward to leaf raking every year. The boy loves to jump into the piles and lie down, then roll. Gracie, being a Diva, won't roll in the leaves but she enjoys zooming through the piles at top Aussie speed. I did what I could to help, but was grateful we removed this first layer. Leaves are still on the trees and it is pouring rain. Remnants from the last hurricane. I hope the winds this week will bring the remaining leaves down so Roni can return next week and finish. Every time the dogs go outside, they bring in a dozen leaves. Mom is getting her squat workouts daily. Enjoy your day. Linda
