What ya' all doing?

Thought it was done, then realized it needed some writing

I like this

New Dina stamps came in the mail the other day

I had punched these circles out to use as a mask on the red spray page above

The past five days have been an exercise in how strong of a woman are you, Linda? On Friday my Aussie, Gracie May Sue, started having diarrhea. Both dogs just had a bath on Thursday. Of course they did. So I took her outside with my hair cutting scissors, and started whacking off fur on her butt because I couldn't get the poop off with baby wipes or a wet rag. By Saturday it looked like her rear end had been trimmed with hedge clippers. And the poop kept coming. I had what I needed to give Gracie a bath, but I can't lift anything due to having had a heart cath not 2 weeks ago. Enter Meranda, the magical woman who works at Puppy Playground, and is in training to become a dog groomer. She is an angel, and she came over. I had drugged Gracie with Buspar, an antianxiety medicine that you can give to dogs. For a dog her size, it's 2 pills. So my baby was humming "rocky mountain high..." when Meranda arrived.

We took her outside. I held Grace around her mid-section, and Meranda trimmed. She then picked her up and carried her into the bathroom for a half bath to remove all traces. We then googled if dogs can have Immodium, they can, and I gave her 2 of those.

This slowed down the illness but did not stop it. I was up and down all night letting Gracie outside, and I felt so bad for her. The noises coming out of this dog were like trumpets. Before we went to bed, I again gave her Buspar so she could get some rest.

Sunday I didn't feel well. Monday I wanted to die by 2pm. Fever, chills, shakes, headache, body aches, and the worse diarrhea ever. Per Google, it is super hard to catch a stomach bug off your dog. Huh. Coincidence? Unfortunately I had a week of medical tests lined up, and that had to be canceled. I am home, going for a Covid test this morning.

Normally I don't discuss medical information in this detail on this blog, but folks, let me emphasize that there are viruses out there that are slamming people to the ground. Not just Covid-19. When I called to cancel an appointment for an oil change on the car, the service manager said, "oh, yeah, I had that 2 weeks ago. It was nasty!" So more than ever, we should be sanitizing everything, washing our hands after every step outside our homes, not touching our face.

Please be careful. Please be safe. And for those who have endured Covid-19, may you continue to grow in health. Too many unknown factors.

The spread with the phrase "Backward never, Forward Forever" was chanted by peaceful protestors in Chicago this past weekend. I love that. So now you will see it popping up on my pages. We must move forward against racism. Enough.
Linda
