File Folder for Cathy

My boy was sick again, so I let him have my spot on the bed to watch tv

One paw on the pillow....

Both dogs have been sick this week. There must be something in the ground that they picked up. It was a 24 hour stomach deal, so we are now on the mend, eating meals, and wanting more attention. In other words, back to normal.

Cathy and I were at Michael's last week, and she pulled out a package of decorative file folders she wanted. They were in pinks, greens, with painted roses, designs, etc on them. When she scanned them to get a price, it said regular price was $12.99, on sale for $9.99. And we both said, we can make those and do whatever we want. Knowing Cathy, I went to Walmart and purchased a pack of heavy duty manila file folders. 25 for $4.99. Halloween is her favorite time of the year, and I was in a Haloweenie type of mood, so the above came about over 3 days. A true mixed media project. I used orange tissue paper and paint, images from magazines, scrapbook papers, and images downloaded from the internet. The green and purple paints are Apple Barrel, the gold is Martha Stewart. I plan on making some for myself, but drawing one of my girl faces as a base.

Random thoughts:

Mindy Lacefield has started using Patreon, and stated that this is how she is supporting herself and her husband. Mindy is in her late forties, no idea how old her husband is, but the email was heavy on the "we need you" to join us.

Huh.

Mindy now wears Micky Mouse ears with a red and white polka dot bow in front of them in every promotional photo she releases. She and her husband sold their home in Little Rock, Arkansas to move to Orlando because she loves, loves, loves Disney World. I am happy she fulfilled her dream. But when you, as an artist, are asking me for monthly income, don't you think it would be, oh, more adult-ish to take off the flippin' mouse ears?

Moving on, what in the name of all that is logical is it going to take to remove this president from office? He wants the next G7 summit in Florida at his resort? After raping the US Treasury for Air Force stops at resorts in Scotland and Ireland? Just for one moment, let us imagine if President Obama had said he wanted any summit held in Chicago, not even at a property he owned. Just because that was his base. The Republicans would have torn him apart. I cringe every time I read the news, or try to watch it. The mind boggles.
