In the kitchen with Coal |
Love those eyes |
Where's my mom??? |
Coal is being the perfect house guest. He is so well behaved, quiet for the most part, and such a loving dog. The problem is Gracie, the Princess Diva. The Alpha Dog. The current pain in my buttocks.
When we are at the dog park with Coal, Gracie is subservient to him. Wouldn't you be? I mean, look at him. He is HUGE. But bring Coal into Gracie's home, where Gracie lives with mom and Sarge, where Gracie RULES, and you have a problem. She is in his face, barking, afraid that he will get one morsel of food that she won't receive. Or he will be petted more than her. She has the poor boy cornered in this section of the kitchen. Right now, at this moment, Sarge is next to me, Gracie is in the living room on the chair, and Coal is on the floor in the kitchen.
Yet, and this is a big yet, if I let them out in the yard, Gracie reverts to her dog park behavior. Coal is king, she is merely a princess. And they play together, just as if they were at the park.
On another note, look at those eyes. Are they not the most beautiful dog eyes? Such a warm brown, and they melt my heart. Coal can look up at me and I will literally ask him what can I do, what does he want. Such a good boy.
And Gracie is being such an alpha bitch. Sigh. Have a good one.
