11 degrees! What the hell???

January Patreon lesson. Sketch was in PrismaColor ColErase pencil, red

Goal was to paint the right side in natural colors, more vibrant on the left, with 2 color eyes

So I did it again, using the same original sketch as a reference. Really???

Half way complete, and I actually like this better than the finished piece

Face is too long

Stencils, collage, and acrylic with brush pens at the end

testing new stencils from Gulfsprite, available in her Etsy shop

Cut the girl out, bent the watercolor paper at the bottom, and taped it. She wants to still pop..

acrylic background, then collage

Jake at the dog park January 21st. Sun was warm, air was 43 degrees. Good times!

I am now trying to finish the very, very old Canson watercolor journal. This is the worse watercolor paper in the entire world, but because it is thick, makes a great collage/acrylic paint journal.  Interesting side note: I have become so used to doing water colors in Dylusions journal and the Canson Mixed Media journals that I am finding working on Strathmore cold press normal water color paper difficult. Been away from it too long. But challenge is good.....growth is good.....

Lots more art journaling today. It is flipping cold out there! Stay safe. Linda
