For whatever reason, I always thought of double page spreads in the Dylusions journals. With this Canson Mixed Media spiral bound journal, I am getting more done, quickly, because it is all single page.  Really, really enjoying this 30 day class. The major benefit is this is encouraging me to do additional pages just because, and that is where the dude in the hat came from. I sat on the couch yesterday afternoon and sketched 4 pages out for painting.

The lesson yesterday was the flowers. Stuck on how to start a page? Slap down some papers and paint, and just stay loose with some flowers and leaves. Doesn't take long, and will free up your mind to move onto something else. Great idea. Are they stunning florals? Nope. Not trying to be. Just moving some paint around, getting in the groove. Trying to stay off of Facebook. The Base is getting hostile again. Sigh.
