| Just a touch lopsided. Do ya think??? |
Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees. A very old saying that is applicable in this instance. I drew this girl in my Dylusions journal with pencil, then painted her with Artist Loft watercolors. Watched a few more Jill Faust videos, went back and stamped some random black around the painted green background, and pulled out a stencil and some acrylic paint to add contrast. Didn't like how bright that was, so toned it done with gesso. Decided she needed some more definition, and used a Blackwing pencil to define areas. Liked all of that, put the journal on the easel and took this pic. Through ALL of that I never noticed that her chin is way to the right of her mouth, and it appears her nose is leaning as well.
Back to using guidelines for faces. Good Grief! Hope you laugh today, and this was the start.
