| Didn't stop |

| So decided to use it for notes on what went wrong |
There are a ton of artists who draw with ball point pens. I am blown away by this, because hello? One mistake and you are done. And then there are those who use a fountain pen. Hmmmm
I have started watching all of the YouTube videos of Jill Faust, an artist who uses a Lamy Fountain Pen, with a variety of inks, to draw a variety of subjects. Primarily women, but she does most of her background patterns with pen as well. I purchased my pen with black ink cartridges on Amazon.
This is similar to water color, but the ink dries super fast. You do not have time to sit around and decide where to move that ink, you just do it. I now know I made the typical rookie mistake of activating every single line I put down in ink. Wrong. Should have left some of them as lines and not manipulated them. I did put Daniel Smith water colors over the ink. The pink smudged the black, but not the other colors. No idea why, and I need to find a website somewhere with information. Not a lot out there, or I am looking in the wrong places. But I am hooked. Another squirrel, another rabbit hole. I love the ease of using this pen. The nib glides across the paper. (I bought the medium nib)
Super happy with how the flowers turned out, which was my first attempt. Not happy with the girl, but I have not been happy with any girls I have drawn lately. But planning on playing with this tool a lot more. Thanks for stopping by.
