I was close to Michael's yesterday, running errands, and decided to use a 40% coupon to buy the cheap, basic set of Artist Loft watercolors. The reason is that the set has the basic skin tones ready to use. If I want to paint fast, keep it loose, and just move the brush, this will encourage me to do just that. I follow a lot of people from different, diverse walks of like on Instagram. One had this quote the other day, and it struck me, so I wrote it down for a journal page. This is layers of acrylic paint, stabilo pencil in black, and Derwent graphite blocks in green and brown.  The not perfect circles in red? I drew a circle freehand on a piece of deli paper with red paint. Turned it over and used it as a stamp 5 times. The paint stays wet for several minutes because the deli paper is waxed. Try it!
