Ground Hog Day

art journal page that started with markers, then watercolor, then doodles, and collage. And stencils. Whew!

I have a container of deli papers that have paint on them, either from being clean off sheets or intentionally printed on a gel press. Some of those old papers are the base for the file folder. I used Liquitex mat medium to adhere the deli papers and let that dry overnight. Then added the girls cut from magazines with a glue stick. The magazine papers did not like the deli papers, and the girls were falling off within a few hours, so added some craft glue. Just a heads up. I should have known to either use a white glue for the glossy magazine pages or stick with mat medium for the entire process. I like the ease of using glue sticks, but not having to affix something twice...ya know?

The sun will be out today for the first time in over 2 weeks. We will be outside either at the dog park or walking, so little art today. Got to grab that sunshine when you can! Enjoy.
