Puppy Playground on Tuesday |
I wanted to try out Gamblin with Prisma Colored Pencils. I have not used my colored pencils that much, because I didn't know how to blend them, and hate the look of scratchy lines. Cathy gave me a container of Gamblin, a solvent that will blend the waxy type colored pencils. Not all pencils are equal.
In the journal page above, the bright pink, blue, and yellow circle are Prisma pencils. I then took a blending stump, wet it with the solvent, and moved the pencil marks. Very easy to do in the Canson Mixed Media journal. Not so easy on Strathmore Mixed Media paper. Cathy thought it would work better on a smooth surface paper. I found that the tooth of the journal paper was actually easier, with that paper not as likely to absorb the Gamblin. The graphite and charcoal curved lines, circles, whatever, were blended with the Catalyst wedge dipped in water.
I love Puppy Playground. Gracie is such a ham. That's my girl.
