I have been busy

From the top: (unable to use captions today without the entire format going out of whack. )

This girl was lesson 29 in 30 Days with Gulfsprite. We were to intentionally leave empty, or non-painted areas so the eye can fill in the blanks. I like this one, and will try it again.

Next is a collage with acrylic paint. This is my political statement for today. I saw that weird little figure in an art magazine I purchased from Half Price Books. 3 guesses, folks.

Pulled out a stencil from Stencil Girl and used some Folk Art paint to fill the page. Cut out that quote from another magazine,  and made the arrows with some of the same page.

Gracie likes to sun bathe in the heat. I know, she is crazy.

Jake has to be in-between my legs as I sit on the edge of the deck, or leaning back into me for his shoulders to be massaged. This is my life.

Last up, another lesson from 30 days. We were to use a piece of collage to inspire us to draw. At first I resisted doing this until I found some old flower paper in my stash. And then the layout just popped into my head, with grey paint as the background. This is a great technique to get unstuck, or if you are afraid of the blank page.

Enjoy yourselves. Thoughts and prayers to everyone. Obviously that is all this country knows how to do. Here is my thought: VOTE!!!!!!!
