Gracie has been sick all weekend. I had her to the vet on Saturday, and after urinalysis and blood work, we are still not quite sure what is up. So she is on antibiotics as a precaution. I wasn't feeling great yesterday, so the day was spent at home doing laundry, general stuff in the house. My intention was to work on art, with many side trips to the bathroom. If you get my drift. That didn't quite work out.

Are Cathy and I the only dog moms who let the dogs rule the house? I went into the studio and cleaned off my desk, put supplies away, and sat down with a reference photo to draw a face. Got to the point where I could start to paint, and Gracie started. She will sit in the hall and whine. When I walked to the back door, she didn't want to go out. So we had several minutes of mom/dog time in the living room, and I again headed to the studio. Again, the whining started. Normally I can get her past this, but when we both are ill, it wasn't happening. Nothing was accomplished yesterday, except a lot of dog petting.

Today is another day.
