The privacy fence now has a view hole |
I mowed the grass on Wednesday night, and my foot slipped on the pedal of the John Deere rider. Slightly rammed the fence, just hard enough to knock the bottom board out of the cross support. I tried to pound it in, but it did not budge. Enter my friend, Melissa, who is younger and stronger and much taller. She had to pry 2 boards off, then hit the loose cross board with a sledge. Popped that sucker back into place, replaced the 2 boards she removed. Neither of us noticed that she also knocked a knot out of the next section of fence. Not until Gracie, bless her Australian Shepherd heart, found said knot and proceeded to chew it. Obviously she didn't care if she got splinters in her tongue.
Gulfsprite has offered us 3 different birds to draw and paint in the 30 day class. I have only done this one, the Floofer bird. Cute.
The image inside of the girl's hair was another lesson where we combined everything we had learned to create an entire page. I like that this class in particular is making me think of the journal pages from edge to edge before considering them complete. Makes you consider colors and composition before you start.
Have a great weekend.
Linda
