Water color faces, acrylic background |

I now have 2 of the Canson Mixed Media journals going. Before the class started, I applied gesso to a few pages in the first journal. The abstract landscape, which is actually a sea scape, was done with acrylics on top of gesso. You can see the marks and I don't care for that effect at all. But glad to learn this technique of picking 2 or 3 colors plus white, and blending them across the page without washing out the paint brush. You can obtain some interesting pattern, and use that as a background. The two male type faces just came out of my head, because I am trying to vary what I draw. The girl above was inspired by an old YouTube video of Gulfsprite's from 2015. She did a face a day for one of the first 100 Day Projects. You can't really tell, but I used metallic watercolor on the girl's necklace.
I had my water softener repaired on Monday. While the man was here, Gracie grabbed a brand new toy and tore his face off. Stuffing was flying all over the living room. I do have 3 videos, but they won't post to this blog for whatever reason. That's my girl.
