| I will photograph this again, but used an old gel plate print and Tim tissue paper |
It rained off and on all day yesterday. I worked on this book in the morning until Cathy called and convinced me we needed to go out for lunch. Then shop at Michael's. It was a real "need". I was almost out of glue sticks.
Going to pass along a very old tip from Donna Downey. I took an in person class with her about 15 years ago at a scrapbook convention in Collier, IL. We used glue sticks to adhere the paper, while making a mini album. When we glued all the pages in place for the base, Donna had the entire class of over 50 place the folded mini album under your butt and sit on it. The body heat would help the glue set. Donna called this "using your assets". I know, cute and snarky. But the heat part is something to remember because it works. I have not been sitting on this book, but have been placing my entire hand over the paper and pressing, using the heat from my hand to help the glue. It's working.
Not sure why the pics I took last night won't rotate into proper landscape position, so will fix that for tomorrow. Have a good one.
Linda
