I am back in a collage mood to start off a tag or a journal spread. Or finish it. There are times that I need to just make a layered mess to clear my head. Yesterday was one of them.
The Dylusions spread had collage first of old book pages and part of a map. Then spread yellow and pink paint, and decided it was not what I wanted. Added some Midnight from Martha Steward, moving that around with a palette knife. Then a glaze of Raw Umber. Still not happy, I pulled out some gesso and the palette knife again.
Backgrounds for the Dina 6x6 journal pages are Marabu acrylic crayons moved with water and gesso. Let that dry completely before adding collage and some pen marks.
Today's tag has material, burlap and some free style stitching. I like it. Makes me smile.
