Water Color Practice in the Journal

Sketched with a mechanical pencil

Started filling in and forgot to stop and take pics

This was a recap lesson from Impetuous Passions with Christy Sobolewski. I used a little gouache at the end, but this is mostly water color. And for the first time I tried stencils with water color. It is a bit more difficult because you have to get the cosmetic sponge wet to activate the water color. Then you have no time to fool around, but must immediately start to stencil. If it is too wet, it will run. But subtle in the effect and I love that. I used white, cheap water color over her black top. This is a technique I will definitely use again.

Onward to another lesson.
