Color Play Class Continued

The page needed to dry, and I needed to evaluate, so this is the point I took a pic

Complete, after black pen work

I like the doodles on her face
The third challenge in this class was to create a spread with complimentary colors. Ashli used orange and blue. When you mix complimentary colors, you will get a brown. I didn't really care for the brown she achieved with her mix, so decided to go with pink and light green. The paint is Dina Wakely's heavy body in a tube. There is some gesso as a base on the page for texture, and I also used a Dina technique on the left hand page. Apply gesso, let it dry, apply paint, then rub the paint off with a baby wipe thru a stencil.  I used gesso for the highlights and eyes, and a black Pitt pen for the markings and journaling.

One advantage to taking these classes is that it has me back into the daily practice of art journaling. I didn't realize how much I missed it.

Enjoy this glorious weather.
