The small maple tree to the right is the one now in the backyard

I took the photos of Jake the first morning we woke up together. So this is just hours before he went into the vet's office to be neutered. I remember fussing over him, feeling so very, very guilty that the poor baby just came to live with us and had to spend the day having his balls cut off. He was so small, but oh, that personality was already emerging.

Bonus photo that I found in that folder has the maple tree. It had to be shortly after this was taken that I dug the tree up and transplanted it in the backyard.
