Starting to slow down on this project because we actually had a day of sun. Not one drop of rain. I mowed. I sank into the muck with the John Deere. Got out of a rut by myself, but what a mess. Going to try to finish the yard today, as this is the last day of sun. Whatever has pissed off Mother Nature has really done a job. More rain coming in for 5 straight days.

The simplistic nature and beauty of this project is it can be done in stolen moments here and there. And that is what I needed right now. With just a handful of supplies I can try for a pleasing composition. I have always loved collage, so this is pure heaven.

Because of the thin papers I am using, a wet glue is not going to work well. I have been using glue sticks, and now have a good idea on what I like. UHU is good, but sometimes you have to reapply to get it to stick down on the corners. Craft Bond is excellent but will curl the book pages, although it adheres perfectly. My favorite is the Ranger made Dylusions sticks. Pretty sure we ordered these online from Joggles. Comes in a 3 pack, and I will be buying them again. Warning: not cost effective due to the small amount, and I have to use plyers to get the plastic top off. But for sensitive papers that you don't want to mess around with, this is the preferred glue. I am using cheap double sided red tape to adhere the tags. Done and done, and they won't come back up.

Have a good day. Summer is coming....right?
