| Love this quote |
Sewcrazi is making me spend money. She obviously doesn't know this, but it is entirely her fault. If you scroll through her posts on Instagram, she often adds little sayings or just single words in the most beautiful script. Cathy and I were talking about it last week, and decided that Sewcrazi has tried her hand at calligraphy. So. Guess what? I bought this book yesterday at Barnes and Noble, and I am going to try some basic lettering.
Oh, boy. If anyone has done this, I would appreciate any tips or tricks.
The two journal pages of girl faces are based on Sewcrazi's work. These were done in my latest Dylusions journal, and I think the time has come to write to Ranger Products. Someone has made the decision to cheapen the paper in this best selling journal, and it's a mistake. I won't be buying another, and I have Dylusion journals in every size they make. What everyone, not just me, loved about them was the amount of wet medium you could put down, and the paper would eventually flatten . It never peeled, or (this is new) got a hole if you tried to fix a mistake. One solution that I will now try is putting a thin coat of gesso on every page. But that prohibits some of the techniques that I have used in the past. Every page that I have worked in this current book has buckled, and will not lay flat. Hey Ranger? Big mistake!
Thanks for stopping by.
Linda
