Saturday

Trying for color contrast
Last night I let the dogs out into the yard, and sat down at the computer. I don't know why I did this, but I went to my Facebook wall and started to scroll backwards. Imagine my surprise when I realized that approximately 60% of my previous posts have been deleted. The official explanation from Facebook is that the post was probably removed by the original poster.

Here's the thing: I have a lot of friends, but as we all know Facebook only shows you about 15 out of 100 people you have friended. So I share posts from a variety of sources. I also follow events pages for Central Indiana, dog groups, exercise pertaining to Silver Sneakers, a lot of subjects. My shared posts come from all of those subjects. Yet here we are with over half no longer visible.

The conclusion I have reached is that I am being censored, or turned into the Facebook watchdog group. I do know of other people who have been "turned in" for inflammatory speech by one of their "friends". Perhaps I post too many animal stories, or sayings. Perhaps someone doesn't care for my moderate stance in politics, and I try very hard NOT to post anything inflammatory on Facebook. It is not worth the effort. Whatever the reason, I feel I have been targeted. And my reaction is to withdraw from Facebook. I will leave the wall up for now, because I want to be able to go into the artist groups I am a member of due to paid classes.

Why am I making this public? This scares the living crap out of me. Seriously, if Facebook has targeted me, a grandma who loves art and animals, then what else is being controlled that we are not aware of? This smacks of Nazi Germany. I don't think I am being an alarmist. I think the fact of this matter is that we are all being manipulated, and freedom of speech is a history lesson.

Think about it.
Linda
