We took the roof tour, so this shot was looking out from our spot

The gardener's greenhouse. Yep. Every gardener should have one
Throwback Thursday's are fun, and can be an inspiration of design. Hence the reason I chose these photos for today.

In May, 2011 Pat and I drove from Indianapolis to Asheville, NC. We spent 2 nights and a day and a half there, so we could tour Biltmore, the Vanderbilt estate. If you have never been, I highly recommend it. The history lesson alone on how this estate was created in the middle of the mountains is worth the trip. The grounds are stunning.

We then drove to Charleston, SC for the remainder of that week. Stayed in a hotel on the 8th floor, on the beach. Best. Vacation. Ever. Have you ever slept with the sliding patio doors open so the ocean waves lull you at night? I loved it. So relaxing. Hot, but relaxing.

Sometimes it's good to review where you have been, things you have seen.
